Hello

I was born and raised in sunny Ticino, in the south of Switzerland. I then moved to Fribourg for my first years at university and am currently finishing my master's degree in Basel. All these movements have allowed me to learn several languages: I speak Italian, French, German and of course English.

Crocheting has been a part of my life since I was a child, as I learned the craft from my mom who's a seamstress. I also inherited many tricks and tips from my grandmothers, who were skilled at crochet and always happy to share their knowledge with me. However, it wasn't until the pandemic hit that I rediscovered crochet, and it became my escape and little me-time.

 

The idea of starting a small business for my handmade craft has been with me forever, and I've always had the spirit of sharing my creations with others. Even though I'm still young and don't have children of my own, I love sharing my creations with those who can enjoy them. The name Magic Loop Creations contains the name of the first stitch for my crochet works and also my initials.

 

As for balancing my passion for crocheting with my studies in medicine and future professional career, it's not always easy. My studies and future career in surgery are certainly my top priority, but crocheting allows me to be creative and distracts me after an intense day of studying.

 

What encourages me to keep crocheting and creating my works are the reactions of friends and clients. Seeing babies and children snuggling my toys melts my heart, and that's what keeps me going. I always try to choose local suppliers to support local businesses and pay attention to details. My hope is to reach as many babies as possible with my creations and give them something sweet and soft to snuggle.
